Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. In the 1980s the actress began her acting career, and was well-known for the character Tezaab in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapooor. Then she appeared in the film Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. Early on, as a child growing up in Mumbai's middle class she started to dance. As a teenager, she began acting and was a victim for a few years due to the fact that her early films failed. She found fame and became one of India's top film actors. She decided to take a break from acting after her wedding before returning to the world of entertainment. She was recently an integral part of Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India is awarded to Dixit. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
